Jesus the Superman; Priest, Prophet and King.

 He is written of and given many names in the scriptures; Son of Man, Son of God, Son of David, Almighty God, Everlasting Father, the Great High priest, the righteous branch and the great IAM. But there is still more to Him than just the above. He came to Earth on mission and great, duties and responsibilities were and still are over his shoulders.

When He was here, He occupied and actually still does occupy these three different offices which are themselves predicted of in the scriptures that He would have them. He is a Priest, Prophet and King at the same time. These are actually the three Basic positions of authority in the Old Testament given to the nation of Israel. It should be noted that no one in the Old Testament ever had all these three offices at any one time. Moses was a prophet and priest but not king. Samuel was only a priest. Elijah, Elisha and Nathan were only Prophets but not Kings or Priests. David was king and prophet but not priest.

To put the Lord`s three offices in simple modern language. In a cool way if you like. You could say he is Senior Pastor (for Priest), President (for King) and Seer Professor (for Prophet). Senior Pastor is meant the chief spiritual Shepherd and Doctor of our Souls. He stands between God and Man; one who intercedes on behalf of his People and one who has also appointed under shepherds for his flock in His Church. He is the priest….or to put it rightly the High priest who identifies with our infirmities and is forever interceding for his Us at the right hand of the Father.

He is also a President. The ballot paper that brought Him into office had only his name. There were no other contenders because He was the only candidate during his election to office. No post electoral objections are allowed and that mean there is never going to be a re-run! The constitution He rules with He made it. It is Divine and not amendable. There are no term limits so His kisanja is eternal! He will rule in righteousness with His Bride. Now that so super cool because His bride is we the Church! I think we will be kind of like ministers and civil servants in his government. Definitely not clerks and drivers! I think! Prison houses and the police will not be needed because nobody will Sin. Well they might think about it but not a chance. It will be a dictatorship! A good dictatorship with a rod iron to rule with! Do not worry this feels right!

He is the professor of spiritual things. He while here in His earthly ministry pointed out countless times to the religious leaders of His days where they had errored. He is the great expositor the Law of God.  He at one time used a tense of a word (Matthew 22:32) prove the doctrine of the resurrection to the Sadducees who had for long ridiculed the great fact, which is the whole Hope of Christianity. He told us what the bone of the whole laws of God was; that we were to love God with our entire Minds, Souls and Strength and our neighbors as well as we love ourselves. Our neighbors include our enemies who we are to pray for constantly and give them a helping hand whenever necessary. He was too smart in his teachings; using similitudes and parables very well knowing that only those who were on the side of truth, His true sheep would discern their hidden meanings.

So can He handle all the work that comes with these three great offices? You bet your life He can! Is he powerful enough to control everything in these offices without failure? Yes! All power is given to Him in Heaven and Earth. Does He have enough experience? His experience is eternal, from everlasting to everlasting. Will He be a good King and execute righteous Judgment? Well the Father thinks so and decided a long time ago not to judge anyone but has committed all judgment to the Son. Does He need our help to run things? Not a chance though he is generous enough to allow us to rule and reign with him during the His millennial Kingdom here on earth.

So I guess the Supermen in Hollywood`s movies; Spiderman, Cat-woman, goat and rat-people lie to us. He is the real Superman. Therefore ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, angles and evils; Superman is a Priest (High priest). Superman is a Prophet! Superman is a king! And Superman is a God-Man, even Christ Jesus our Lord.
